Learned counsel for the State on instructions from ASI Rakesh Kumar and on the basis of the status report filed by way of affidavit of Kulwinder Singh, PPS, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Rural, District Gurdaspur has stated that there are numerous cases pending against petitioner No.2 and that in FIR No.138 dated 08.10.2020, petitioner No.2 had applied for anticipatory bail which was dismissed right upto this Court in CRM-M No.38067 of 2020 on 01.12.2020. Learned counsel for the State would further contend that petitioner No.2 has been evading arrest and PO proceedings have already been initiated against him in this regard.

Faced with the same, learned counsel for the petitioners seeks permission to withdraw the present petition qua petitioner No.2. Accordingly, the present petition is dismissed as withdrawn qua petitioner No.2.

CRWP-10628-2020 (O&M) -2Qua petitioner No.1, it has also been stated in the status report that there is no harassment being meted out to petitioner No.1 by the official or the private respondents. However, directions have been issued to the SHO Police Station, Bhaini Miyan Khan, District Gurdaspur to ensure that there is no harassment caused to petitioner No.1. In view of the status report filed, no further orders are required to be passed in the present case.

Disposed off, accordingly.
