Present writ petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution for issuance of a writ in the nature of mandamus directing the respondents to consider and appoint the petitioner against the post of Pharmacist (Pharmacy Officer) vide Advertisement dated 04.08.2020 (P-1). After arguing for some time, learned Counsel for the petitioner, on instructions, submits that instead of pressing the present petition on merits, his client would be satisfied in case the legal notice dated 19.10.2021 (P-8) is decided expeditiously.

Notice of motion to the aforesaid limited extent. On asking of the Court, Ms. Maloo Chahal, DAG, Punjab, who is present in the Court, accepts notice on behalf of the respondents and raises no objection against the innocuous prayer of the petitioner.
