JASWANT SINGH, J. (ORAL) The petitioners undertook the PSTET-II exam conducted in the year 2011 by the Punjab State, which is one of the essential qualifications for recruitment as a Master/Mistress in the Department of Education, Punjab.

Except petitioner No.3-Rajinder Kaur, who belongs to backward class category, the rest belong to the general category, all of them did not secure the minimum pass percentage of 90 marks for general category and 82 marks for reserved category. The details of marks secured are furnished in para 7 of the petition.

The result of the petitioners of PSTET-II held in the year 2011 was revised on 25.10.2017 whereby by granting of four additional marks for all categories, the petitioners thus were declared successful for the PSTETII Certificate. The said Certificate concededly is valid for seven years for applying for selection and appointment in the Master Cadre. Based on the aforesaid revised result, the petitioners are pressing for selection and AMIT KAUNDAL 2018.08.13 17:25 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document

After hearing learned counsel for the petitioners, no ground for invoking the writ jurisdiction is made out. It is conceded that till the last date of submission of the application forms, the result of the petitioners for PSTET was not revised. Hence they were ineligible. It is also conceded that the merit was based on the marks secured in the written test held in December, 2017, which the petitioners could not undertake. It is also conceded that most of the appointments based on such selections have been made. Since eligibility of the petitioners was revised after the expiry of the last date and they did not participate in the selection process, no relief can be granted.

Dismissed.
