*** HARSH BUNGER, J. (Oral) The instant Writ Petition has been filed under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India inter alia seeking a writ in the nature of Certiorari for quashing notice dated 20.02.2017 (Annexure P-2) issued by respondent No.6-Superintending Engineer (MGNREGA), whereby an enquiry was ordered against the petitioners.

Learned State counsel has handed over a copy of letter bearing No. 3657, dated 15.06.2017, which is taken on record, subject to all just exceptions.

2.1 Learned State counsel submits that the complaint made against the petitioners was got enquired into from the Divisional Deputy Director, Panchayat, Patiala; who submitted his report vide letter dated 14.02.2017, HIMANI GUPTA 2024.09.25 14:26 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this document/judgment High Court, Chandigarh

CWP-7069-2017 -2according to which, the allegations levelled against the petitioners were not established. It is further submitted that the complaint against petitioners has been consigned to the record room vide order dated 26.05.2017, passed by the Director, Department of Rural Development and Panchayat, Punjab. 3.

Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that in view of the submissions made by learned State counsel, the present petition has been rendered infructuous.

In view of the above, the present petition is dismissed as having been rendered infructuous.
