(ORAL) This petition has been filed under Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure seeking quashing of FIR No.71 dated 23.06.2020 registered under Sections 324, 323, 341, 325, 326, 427, 506, 148, 149 IPC at Police Station Dorangla, District Gurdaspur (Annexure P-1) and all subsequent proceedings arising therefrom in view of the compromise dated 08.04.2021 (Annexure P-2).

Vide order dated 11.11.2021, parties were directed to put in appearance before the trial court/Illaqa Magistrate on 17.11.2021. The report of the JMIC, Gurdaspur has been received, in which it is stated that the case was listed for 07.12.2021 for recording statement of the parties, on which date, only three accused namely Jatinder Singh, Lovepreet Singh and Harpreet Singh were present but the complainant Amritpal Singh and one of the accused Gurbaksh Singh did not appear for recording their statements qua compromise.

CRM-M No.47387 of 2021 -2The matter was taken up on 17.12.2021, on which date, there was no appearance either on behalf of the petitioner or the complainant. Consequently, the matter was posted for hearing today i.e. 15.02.2022. Today also, there is no appearance on behalf of the petitioner as well as the complainant.

In the facts and circumstances as stated above, this Court would conclude that compromise between the parties has not been given effect to. Consequently, the instant petition stands dismissed.
