(Oral) The instant petition has been filed under Section 439 Cr.P.C. for grant of regular bail to the petitioner in case FIR No. 747, dated 10.08.2017, under Section 397 IPC and Section 25 of the Arms Act, 1959 (Section 392 IPC deleted later on and Section 397 IPC was added), registered at Police Station City Hisar.
Learned State counsel has apprised the Court that the trial is nearing completion as the prosecution evidence stands concluded and the case is now ripe for final arguments.
In the circumstances, no ground is made out to extend the concession of regular bail to the petitioner. However, since the petitioner has been in custody since 28th January, 2018, the trial Court concerned is directed to expedite the trial and conclude the same expeditiously, preferably, within a period of two months from today. Dismissed.
