The present writ petition has been filed by the petitioner seeking a direction to the respondent to decide his legal notice dated 13.2.2017 (Annexure P-5) for grant of permit for operation of light motor vehicle having capacity of 30 passengers on Zirakpur- Lalru Mandi route, as mentioned in the heading of writ petition, in the light of the judgment passed by a Division Bench of this Court in CWP 15786 of 1999 ( M/s Vijayant Travels and anr vs. State of Punjab and ors) decided on 20.12.2012. In this context the petitioner has already submitted legal notice dated 13.2.2017 (Annexure P-5) to the State Transport Commissioner, Punjab.

Counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner will be satisfied in case a direction is issued to the State Transport Commissioner to consider legal notice (Annexure P-5) by passing a speaking order. Notice of motion. On asking of the Court, notice has been accepted by Mr. SS Chandumajra, Addl.A.G. Punjab. Copy given. The writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondent-State Transport Commissioner, Punjab to consider the legal notice (Annexure P-5) and pass a speaking order within a period of three months after receipt of a certified copy of the order.
