The present petition has been filed for initiating proceedings against the respondent under the Contempt of Courts Act, 1971, for alleged wilful disobedience of the order dated 03.12.2025 (Annexure P-1), passed by this Court in CRM-M-64966-2025.

On an advance copy having been served upon the respondent, Mr. Sandeep Singh, AAG, Punjab, puts in appearance and has produced a copy of speaking order dated 07.01.2026, which is represented to have been passed in deference to order dated 03.12.2025. A copy of the said order has been handed over to learned counsel for the petitioner. 3.
In the light of the above, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the present petition has been rendered infructuous and he seeks withdrawal of the same with liberty to seek judicial redress against the speaking order dated 07.01.2026, if required. 4.
