Prayer in the instant petition filed under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India is for issuance of directions to the respondents No.2 & 3, to protect the lives and liberty of the petitioners, who apprehend threat to their life at the hands of private respondents No.4 to 10, who are stated to be family members.

Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that petitioners are in live-in-relationship and are being threatened with dire consequences by the private respondents. Resultantly, a representation dated 29.06.2026 (Annexure P-3) was also made to respondent No.2Senior Superintendent of Police, Fazilka for protection of their lives and liberty but in vain. Learned counsel submits that he would be satisfied if directions are issued to respondent No.2- Senior Superintendent of SAURAV PATHANIA 2026.07.03 15:51 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document

In view of above, petition is hereby disposed of with a direction to respondent No.2- Senior Superintendent of Police, Fazilka to provide necessary protection to the petitioners after considering threat perceptions to their life and liberty and to ensure that the life and liberty of the petitioners is not jeopardized at the hands of the private respondents.
