The present petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking issuance of writ in the nature of mandamus for directing the respondents to remove the unauthorized constructions and encroachments made by the private individuals, shopkeepers on public properties, footpath along Guru Bazar (Main Bazar) Baba Bakala Sahib District Amritsar, despite representation dated 08.02.2024 (Annexure P-2) filed before the concerned authorities.

At the outset, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner would be satisfied, if appropriate directions may be issued to respondent No.2 (Deputy Commissioner, Amritsar) to decide the representation dated 08.02.2024 (Annexure P-2). 3.
