Status report by way of an affidavit of Mr. Sajjan Kumar, HPS, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Kalayat, District Kaithal has been filed by learned State counsel on behalf of respondent No. 1 to 3 along with the statements of all the concerned parties in Court today, which is taken on record, subject to all just exceptions.

Learned State counsel has referred to paras 3 & 4 of the above said status report, which reads as under:

That in pursuance of order dated 21.08.2023 passed by this Hon'ble court it is submitted that, an inquiry was conducted by ASI Vikram. During the inquiry, on 15.09,2023, ASI Vikram visited the Dabadal Patti village Jakholi Tehsil and Distt. Kaithal and inquired about the whereabouts of the petitioners. 2023:PHHC:164236 CRWP-8199-2023 During inquiry on 14.09.2023 both the petitioners gave statements that they have no need of police protection and they are living peacefully in village Deoban. The detailed statements of petitioner no. 1 is annexed as Annexure-R-1 and statement of petitioner no. 2 os annexed as Annexure-R-2 for kind perusal of this Hon'ble court.

That durin inquiry on 15.09.2023 the statement of respondent no. 4 and 5 were recorded who stated that both the petitioners are major and understand about their good and bad. Both are themselves responsible for their lives. They and their family members will not interfere in the personal and married life of Samiti, in any manner. The detail statements of respondent no. 4 is annexed as Annexure-R-3, statement of respondent no. 5 is annexed as Annexure-R-4. The report of SHO is annexed as Annexure-R-5 for kind perusal of this Hon'ble Court.

In light of the averments made in para 3 & 4, nothing survives in the present petition and accordingly, the same stands disposed of. 5.

It is made clear that filing or pendency of this petition or any order/direction passed in this petition shall not be an alibi or defence to the petitioners, in case, they are found involved in any illegal activity and the respondent-Authorities shall take appropriate action, in accordance with law.
