Mr. Karanadeep Singh, Advocate for the petitioners. SANDEEP MOUDGIL, J (ORAL) This Criminal Writ Petition under Article 226 for issuance of writ in the nature of mandamus for issuance of direction to respondent Nos.2 & 3 to protect the life and liberty of the petitioners at the instance of respondent Nos.4 to 6 and to restrain the private respondents not to harass the petitioners. Learned State Counsel has submitted that a speaking order has already been passed in the complaint dated 09.07.2025 (Annexure P-5) by the authorities concerned and has produced the copy of the same, which is taken on record. He has furnished a copy of the order to counsel for the petitioners. The relevant part of the speaking order is reproduced below :- "Police party further tried to reach private respondents b ut they were not present at given address.

ASI Jagdev Singh 105/BNL is deputed to trace out private respondents. It is also checked from record that any complaint regarding the protection of life and liberty of petitioners is not earlier received in the police station. However, as and when petitioners are located or they themselves appear before this police station appropriate action shall be taken accordingly as per MANOJ KUMAR 2025.07.16 20:59 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this order law. This speaking order is passed accordingly."

CRWP-7373-2025 In light of the above, counsel for the petitioner does not wish to press this petition further. However, the petitioners would be at liberty to file appeal, as is stipulated in the Standard Operating Procedure, in the light of notification No. HOMEHM-40 40SECM/14/2025-2H4/63 dated 23.01.2025 issued by the Department of Home Affairs, Punjab, Government of Punjab (Home-4 Branch), in case of any grievance left.

Petition stands dismissed as not pressed.
