RAJESH BHARDWAJ, J.(ORAL) Petitioner has approached this Court praying of issuance of writ in the nature of mandamus directing respondents to consider and decide the representation, dated 23.01.2023, Annexure P-17, in accordance with the BBMB's New Lease Policy-2018, Annexure P-14, within some stipulated period of time and further to allow the execution fresh Lease Deed in respect of Shop No.86, Main Market, Nangal Township between the petitioner and respondent-BBMB.

It has been contended by counsel for the petitioner that petitioner has filed representation, dated 23.01.2023, Annexure P-17, before respondent No.3, i.e., Chief Engineer, Bhakra Dam, for redressal of his grievances, however, no action has been taken on the same till date. He further submits that similarly situated persons, namely, Bharat Bhushan and others approached this Court by way of filing CWP No.5780 of 2019, which was disposed of by this Court vide order dated 05.03.2019. He submits that MEENU 2023.08.29 17:59 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this order/judgment

CWP-18961-2023 -2similar grievances of Bharat Bhushan and others have already been redressed but that of petitioner has not been decided till date. Notice of motion.

On asking of the Court, Mr.Karan Nehra, Advocate, standing counsel for BBMB, who is present in Court, accepts notice on behalf of the respondents/State.

After hearing counsel for the parties and going through the facts and circumstances of the case, the present petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent No.3, i.e. Chief Engineer, Bhakra Dam, BBMB, Nangal Township, District Ropar, to decide the representation, dated 23.01.2023, Annexure P-17 expeditiously in accordance with law preferably within one month from the date of receipt of certified copy of this order.
