**** MANJARI NEHRU KAUL , J. (Oral) The petitioners have approached this Court under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India, seeking a writ in the nature of Mandamus, for directing the respondents to release the amount of arrears to the petitioners w.e.f. 13th January, 2006 to 31st May, 2009 along with interest @ 6%.

Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that the respondentDepartment released the amount of arrears to the similarly situated employees w.e.f. 13th January, 2006, but in the case of the petitioners, the respondent-Department discriminated and released the arrears only w.e.f. July, 2009 to June 2013. Learned counsel for the petitioner further submits that for the relief claimed in the writ petition, the petitioners gave a representation, Annexure P-4 and also served the respondents with legal notice, Annexure P-5, but no action thereof has been taken by the respondents so far.

Keeping in view the submissions made and the grievance of the petitioners, interest of justice would be served, if respondents No.2 & 3 would look into the representations Annexure P-4 and P-5, respectively, and JAWALA RAM 2019.09.05 11:00 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this document Chandigarh
