ARUN PALLI, J. (ORAL) The petitioner was selected to the post of Secretary by the Haryana Staff Selection Commission, under the EBPG quota. And, his name was recommended to the Government for appointment. Pursuant to the recommendation of the Commission, dated 08.01.2018, the petitioner was offered an appointment, vide letter, dated 12.01.2018, to the post of Secretary in Municipal Committee. In terms of the appointment order, the petitioner submitted his joining report on 18.01.2018, in the office of the Principal Secretary to Government of Haryana, Urban Local Bodies Department. The limited grievance that the petitioner has is, that he has been repeatedly visiting the respondent department, but neither he has been assigned any posting orders nor paid salary, though he has submitted the joining report on 18.01.2018. Whereas, the other candidates, who were selected with the petitioner, have since been issued the posting orders, and Prashant Kapoor 2018.03.05 15:15 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this document

CWP-5133-2018 even disbursed salaries with effect from the date of joining. He purports to have even represented to the respondents, vide legal notice, dated 12.02.2018 (Annexure P-3). But to no avail.

That being so, the petition is disposed of at this stage, only with a direction to the respondents to consider and decide the claim of the petitioner as also his legal notice, dated 12.02.2018 (Annexure P-3), within a period of four weeks from today. And, pass appropriate orders, in accordance with law. In the event, the claim of the petitioner is declined, the respondent authorities shall pass a comprehensive order, assigning reasons in support thereof.
