RITU BAHRI, J. (ORAL) Through instant writ petition prayer has been made for issuance of a writ in the nature of certiorari/mandamus directing the respondents not to hold the election of the Chairman of Panchayat Samiti, Loharu, till the matter regarding the membership of Pinky and Shakuntala is decided by the authorities.

Learned State counsel informs the Court that as per letter dated 03.08.2022 received from the Executive Officer, Panchayat Samiti, Loharu, tenure of the Panchayat Samiti has expired on 24.02.2021 and no fresh notification conducting the election has been issued. He further states that appellant in LPA No.1710 of 2018 has since died and the said LPA has been dismissed as infructuous vide order dated 14.01.2020. Since terms of the Panchayat Samiti has expired, no cause RAVINDER SINGH 2022.08.30 16:34 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this order/judgment
