(ORAL) This writ petition has been filed by the petitioner being aggrieved by the public notice dated 04.10.2022 (Annexure P-2) issued by the Director, State Education, Research and Training Council, Punjab, by which it is proposed to increase the educational qualification for admission to the D.EI.Ed. course from 10+2 to Graduation.

Learned senior counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that on a previous occasion a similar notification had been issued which had subsequently been withdrawn after filing of a writ petition by the same petitioner. He submits that though final notification has not been issued in the instant case, however, the petitioner having responded to the public notice has filed the representations dated 22.06.2023 (Annexure P-7) and 21.07.2023 (Annexure P-8) before the Secretary, Department of School Education which may be directed to be considered while taking a final decision in the matter.

Mr. Arjun Sheoran, learned Deputy Advocate General, Punjab, submits that the petitioner's representations would be considered by the authorities while taking a decision in the matter and that the exercise would be completed expeditiously in accordance with law as far as possible within three weeks. In view of the aforesaid submission made by learned senior counsel for the petitioner as well as the statement of learned State counsel, the writ petition stands disposed of in terms thereof.
