(ORAL) Through this petition, the petitioner seeks anticipatory bail in case bearing FIR No.16 dated 16.02.2016, registered under Sections 406, 420 read with Section 120-B IPC, at Police Station SBS Nagar, District Ludhiana.

Vide order dated 22.08.2023 passed by this Court, the petitioner had been granted ad interim pre-arrest bail and directed to join the investigation.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that pursuant to the aforesaid order, the petitioner has joined the investigation. Learned State counsel, on instructions from ASI Surjit Singh, submits that the petitioner has not yet been declared as a proclaimed offender and that the petitioner has joined the investigation and is now not required for any further investigation.

CRM-M-41331-2023 (O&M) -2In view of the above, without commenting on the merits of the case, the present petition is allowed and the order dated 22.08.2023 granting interim bail to the petitioner, is made absolute, subject to the conditions laid down in Secti`1on 438 (2) of the Code of Criminal Procedure.
