The learned counsel for the petitioner, at the outset, limits his prayer in the present petition to the extent that his representation dated 15.11.2020 (Annexure P-1) be decided by respondent Nos.2 and 3 in a time-bound manner.

Notice of motion.

On the asking of the Court, Mr. V.G. Jauhar, Senior DAG, Punjab has joined the session through video conferencing and accepts notice on behalf of respondent Nos.1 to 4.

Learned State counsel, on instructions from ASI Ashok Kumar states that the representation has been received and the preliminary inquiry would be completed within a period of two weeks. In view of the statement made by the learned counsel for the State, the learned counsel for the petitioner does not wish to press the petition at this stage.

Accordingly, the petition is dismissed as not pressed at this stage.
