No one has put in appearance on behalf of the petitioners. 2.

The petitioners by way of this Writ Petition pray for issuance of a Writ in the nature of certiorari for quashing the recruitment of the Guest Faculty Instructors initiated on 27.12.2016 by the Principal ITI (Women) Gurdaspur and also for directing the respondents-Department to renew the contract of the petitioners.

Learned State counsel has pointed out that the petitioners were appointed by the Principal of the Government ITI Women, Gurdaspur. Petitioners No.1 and 4 are son and daughter respectively of one Tarsem Lal Bhagat and thus, the selection process adopted for appointing the Guest Faculty Instructors in the College was not transparent. It is also stated that no advertisement was issued for the said post, no merit list was prepared nor was there any approval from the Chairman for appointing the Guest Faculty Suresh Kumar 2023.09.02 11:09 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document

Instructors. Even the petitioners were working as a Guest Instructors under the PPP Scheme.

Considering the reply filed by the respondents which is also supported by the reply of respondent No.3-Principal and also considering that the manner in which entire selection process has already been done, no case for interference by this Court is made out. The Writ Petition is dismissed accordingly.
