Prayer in the present petition filed under Section 226/227 of the Constitution of India is for issuance of directions to respondent No. 2, i.e. the Commissioner of Police, Police Commissionerate, Jalandhar to protect the life and liberty of the petitioner from the hands of respondents No. 4 to 12. 1.1 A further prayer is also made for issuance of directions to respondent No. 2 to decide the representations dated 26.06.2024 and 26.07.2024 (Annexures P-2 and P-5, respectively), moved by the petitioner, expeditiously, as per law.

Learned counsel for the State has informed that representation dated 26.06.2024 (Annexure P-2) is pending adjudication before the Assistant Commissioner of Police, Crime against Women, Police Commissionerate, Jalandhar (respondent No. 3) and the representation dated Nitin 2024.09.12 13:22 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document

CRWP-7933-2024 (O&M) 26.07.2024 (Annexure P-5), is pending adjudication before the Commissioner of Police, Police Commissionerate, Jalandhar (respondent No. 2).

In view of the innocuous prayer made, issuance of notice to the remaining respondents is dispensed with.

Keeping in view the above facts and circumstances of the present case, without making any comment on the actual merits thereof, the present petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent No. 2, i.e. the Commissioner of Police, Police Commissionerate, Jalandhar, to decide the aforesaid representations within a period of one month after the receipt of the certified copy of this order.

Pending miscellaneous application(s), if any, shall also stand disposed of.
