The petitioner through instant petition under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India is seeking direction to respondents to re-issue him passport.

Learned counsel for Union of India, at the outset, submits that petitioner may be directed to appear before passport authority on 11.10.2023 alongwith requisite documents. If the petitioner appears on the said date, the passport authority would pass an appropriate order considering judgment of this Court in Mohan Lal @ Mohna vs. Union of India and others 2023 SCC Online P&H 1391 and instructions dated 14.03.2023 issued by the Central Government.
