The instant petition has been filed by the petitioner seeking release of his daughter namely Ramandeep Kaur, who was stated to be illegally detained by respondents No.5 to 11.

While issuing notice of motion, this Court had directed respondent No.4Station House Officer, Police Station Sadar Zira, Tehsil Zira, District Ferozepur to take necessary steps for tracing the petitioner's daughter and to submit a report in this regard.

Today, learned State counsel, upon instructions from ASI Kulbant Singh, has informed that the petitioner's daughter was traced on 23.11.2021 and her PANKAJ KAKKAR 2021.12.01 16:45 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document

( 2 ) CRWP-10673-2021 (O&M) statement in terms of Section 164 Cr.P.C. has been recorded, wherein she has stated that her date of birth is 1.5.1999 and that she wishes to reside with Harpreet Singh on her own accord.

In view of the aforesaid statement of the alleged detenue, it goes without saying that she is a major and wishes to reside with Harpreet Singh on her own accord. In these circumstances, no further directions are required to be issued.
