The impugned order has been passed by the District Manager although the Managing Director would be the competent authority. He further contends that the petitioner has sent a representation (Annexure P-8) to respondent No.2 in this regard but no action has been taken thereon. Issue notice to respondents.

At the asking of the Court, Mr. Abhaypal Singh Gill, AAG, Punjab accepts notice on behalf of respondents.

Without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, the petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent No.2 to consider and decide the representation (Annexures P-8) in accordance with law within a period of one month from the date of receipt of certified copy of this order.
