(ORAL) The instant writ petition has been filed by the petitioner under Articles 226 and 227 of the Constitution of India for issuance of writ in the nature of certiorari thereby quashing order dated 11.10.2013 (Annexure P3) passed by respondent No. 2- the Claims Commissioner, Revenue and Rehabilitation Department, Punjab and order dated 09.11.2016 (Annexure P-7) passed by respondent No. 1-Financial Commissioner (Revenue) Punjab.

On the asking of the Court, Mr. Yatinder Sharma, learned Addl. Advocate General, Punjab accepts notice on behalf of the respondents-State. The claim of the petitioner is that petitioner/his predecessorsin-interest were residents of Chakk No. 702, Tehsil Tobba Tek Singh, District Layalpur, West Pakistan, as per the details mentioned in the body of the petition which are not required to be reproduced here.
