RAJESH BHARDWAJ, J.(ORAL) Instant petition has been filed under Section 482 Cr.P.C. praying for issuance of directions to respondents No.1 to 3 in case FIR No.302, dated 02.07.2022 under Sections 363, 366 IPC, registered at Police Station Sohana, District SAS Nagar, Mohali, for arresting respondent No.4 and to take appropriate steps to safeguard the life and liberty of the minor. It has been contended that victim is missing since 02.07.2022 and till date there is no progress in the investigation. Notice of motion.

On the asking of the Court, Mr.Sandeep Kumar, DAG, Punjab, who is present in Court, accepts notice on behalf of the respondents-State and submits, on instructions from ASI Gurpreet Singh, that investigation is being conducted. He further submits that police has conducted raids at the places in Punjab as well as in U.P., i.e. Hardoi and Lucknow, however, till date the accused could not be arrested. He has submitted that there is no laxity on the part of the Investigating Agency and the investigation would be concluded in accordance with law.

CRM-M-43483-2022 -2After hearing both the parties, the present petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondents-State to continue with the investigation and conclude the same expeditiously in accordance with law. However, petitioner is at liberty to pursue his remedies as available to him under the law.
