Mr.Amit Shukla, AAG, Punjab, puts in appearance and accepts notice on behalf of the respondents.

At the outset, learned counsel for the petitioners submits that let this petition be disposed of only with a direction to respondent No.2 - Senior Superintendent of Police, Hoshiarpur to consider and decide the representation dated 14.09.2022 (Annexure P-2) alleged to have been MONIKA 2022.09.20 18:23 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document

CRWP No. 9080 of 2022 : 2 :

submitted by the petitioners seeking directions to the officials of Police Station CIA Hoshiarpur, Police Station Model Town and Police Station Chabbewal, District Hoshiarpur, not to harass them without any cogent reason and if they are required in any case, they be called in the Police Station concerned as per law.

Accordingly, without commenting upon the merits of the claim of the petitioners and even the assertions set out in the petition, the present petition is disposed of only with a direction to respondent No.2 that if any such representation, as indicated above, is indeed pending consideration, it shall be dealt with expeditiously, in accordance with law by passing a speaking order, preferably within six weeks from the date of receipt of certified copy of this order and conveying the same to the petitioners.
