By way of instant petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, the petitioner has prayed for issuance of a direction to the respondents to provide proper facilities/amenities in the Government School, Ward No.10, Dhuri running since the year 1972. 2.
The condition of the Government School, Ward No.10, Dhuri is very depilated as there is no roof over the class room and no drinking water is available. Even there are no teachers and no chairs for the students to sit as is discernible from the photographs (Annexures P-1 to P-3, respectively). The petitioner moved a representation dated 4.10.2013 (Annexure P-4) to the Sub Divisional Magistrate, Dhuri for taking action in the matter, but no response has been received till date. Hence, the present writ petition. 3.
Learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that for the relief claimed in the writ petition, the petitioner has sent a representation dated Gurbachan Singh 2017.04.25 14:12 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this document High Court Chandigarh 4.10.2013 (Annexure P-4) to the Sub Divisional Magistrate, Dhuri, but no
CWP No. 8274 of 2017 -2action has so far been taken thereon.

After hearing learned counsel for the petitioner, perusing the present petition and without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, we dispose of the present petition by directing the Sub Divisional Magistrate, Dhuri, to take a decision on the representation dated 4.10.2013 (Annexure P-4), in accordance with law by passing a speaking order and after affording an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner and respondent No.3 within a period of two months from the date of receipt of certified copy of the order.

Copy of this order be also sent to the Sub Divisional Magistrate, Dhuri, District Sangrur.
