***** JASPAL SINGH, J Through instant petition preferred under Article 226/227 of the Constitution of India, petitioner has sought issuance of a writ in the nature of mandamus, directing the respondents for pay fixation by stepping up w.e.f. 31.07.1973 at par with his junior in view of orders dated 13.10.2016 (Annexure P-1 and revised the pay and pension accordingly and pay the arrears in view of instructions dated 27.11.2006 (Annexure P-2) read with orders qua other dated 15.10.2013 (Annexure P-5) along with interest. 2.

At the very outset of the arguments, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that though various representations including latest one dated 24.02.2018 (Annexure P-14) were moved to the respondents but till date neither any response has been received nor any conscious decision has been taken. Without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, the instant petition is disposed of with the direction to respondents to look into the grievances unfolded by the petitioner in latest representation dated 24.02.2018 (Annexure P-14) and to decide the same in the light of instructions dated 27.11.2006 (Annexure P-2) read with orders qua others dated 15.10.2013 (Annexure P-5), within a period of two months from the date of receipt of certified copy of this order. In case the concerned authority comes to the conclusion that petitioner is entitled to the relief claimed through latest representation, to release the same within a period of next 45 days. 4.

However, if the petitioner still feels aggrieved against any of the order(s) passed by the concerned authority, he shall be at liberty to have recourse to the other remedies available to him as well as to approach this Court.
