The petitioner through instant petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India is seeking direction to respondents to re-issue/renew his passport.

Learned counsel for Union of India, at the outset, submits that as per his instructions, passport authority would issue emergency certificate to the petitioner to travel to India. The said certificate would be issued within two weeks from today.

Learned counsel for the petitioner agrees to the aforesaid arrangement.
