RAJESH BHARDWAJ, J.(ORAL) Present petition has been filed under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India for issuance of direction to respondent No.1 to protect the life and liberty of the petitioner and her family members from the hands of respondent No.2 as respondent No.2 alongwith other police officials are continuously raiding her house without any warrant and harassing her and her family members on one pretext or the other. It is further prayed that legal action be taken against respondent No.2 for misusing her official power and taking the law in her own hands. It is also prayed that direction be given to respondent No.2 to serve Notice under Section 41-A of Cr.P.C. in case the petitioner and her family members are to be summoned or required in any case.

It has been submitted by learned counsel for the petitioner that petitioner is being harassed unnecessarily by respondent No.2, i.e. Naresh MEENU 2024.08.22 10:07 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document

He further submits that petitioner is already acquitted in FIR No.53, dated 04.07.2015, under Sections 18, 15,20, 21 and 22 of the Narcotics Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985, registered as Police Station Mukandpur, District SBS Nagar.

On asking of the Court, Mr.Tarun Aggarwal, Sr.DAG, Punjab, who is present in Court, accepts notice on behalf of the respondents/State and submits, on instructions from ASI Hem Raj that petitioner is being prosecuted in five FIRs and she is facing trial before the trial Court in accordance with law. He further submits, on instructions, that petitioner is not wanted by them in any other case and allegations levelled by her are without any basis.

In view of the statement made by learned State counsel, the present petition is disposed of.
