The petitioners are residents of village Palwali Badshahpur, Tehsil and District Faridabad. They claim themselves belonging to 'Backward Classes' and living 'Below Poverty Line'. On this premise, their claim is that they are entitled to 100 sq.yards plot under the 'Mahatama Gandhi Gramin Basti Yojna' floated by State of Haryana, dated 01.02.2008 (P-1).

[2] At the outset, learned counsel for the petitioners seeks to withdraw the petition qua petitioner No.1 as his name does not find mention in the eligible persons. Ordered accordingly. [3] As regard to petitioner No.2, he has been found eligible and his name is stated to be at Sr.No.74 as per written statement filed by BDPO. [4] Having regard to the stand taken by the authorities the writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the BDPO to conclude the ongoing enquiry within two months from the date of receipt of a certified copy of this order and if petitioner No.2 is found entitled to, let the Gram Panchayat/authorities allot a plot to him as per the above-mentioned policy. Such an exercise shall be completed within two months thereafter. If still dis-satisfied, the second petitioner shall be at liberty to file an appeal before the Commissioner, Faridabad.
