(ORAL) The petitioner, who claims to be husband of the detenue-Aditi, in the capacity of solemnizing marriage with her on 26.07.2023 (Annexure P-1), has come up before this Court on the grounds that after the marriage, his wife-Aditi, aged 25 years has been detained by her parents, who have confined her in their home against her wishes. 2.
Notices were served upon the official respondents No. 1 to 3 yesterday, through the UT's counsel. Given the nature of the order that this Court proposes to pass, neither the response of official respondents nor the issuance of notices to the private respondents is required.

Counsel for UT, Chandigarh submits that they have recorded the statement of the alleged detenue-Aditi who stated that she has solemnized her marriage with the petitioner without informing her parents and when they came to know about her marriage with the petitioner, they were very upset, extremely unhappy, and very sad. She further stated that she wanted to live with her husband (petitioner) and now her family members are also ready to accept their marriage. He further submits that the detenue along with her parents are present in the police station and even the petitioner has come up in the police station to pick up the detenue. 4.
Given the stand of the detenue before her parents, she is at liberty to live anywhere she wants to live without any pressure. 5.
