Since the matter pertains to grant of protection of life and liberty, the same is taken up on the basis of averments made in the petition. Petitioners claim that they have attained majority and married against the wishes of their family members. Apprehending threat to their life and liberty, they have filed the present petition for protection. Petitioners claim to have submitted a representation (Annexure P-5) dated 11.11.2021, in this regard to the Superintendent of RAJ KUMAR ARORA 2021.11.12 16:56 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document

The petitioners have placed on record the copies of Aadhaar Cards (Annexures P-1 and P-2) as proof of their age and copy of marriage certificate (Annexure P-4) and photographs (Annexure P-3) regarding performance of marriage.

This petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent No.3 - S.H.O., Police Station Rajound, District Kaithal, that representation, if any, filed seeking protection of life and liberty, be looked into and contents thereof be duly verified and if necessary, requisite steps be taken, strictly in accordance with law for grant of protection of life and liberty to the petitioners. It is made clear that this order shall not be treated as a stamp of this Court regarding validity of marriage of the parties. November 12, 2021.
