Learned counsel for the petitioner does not dispute that the remedy of election petition is before the Deputy Registrar, Co-operative Society of the district, under Section 55 of the Punjab Co-operative Societies Act, 1961.

In the present case, the petitioner assails the correctness of election of the private respondents to the governing body of the Ramidi Multipurpose Co-operative Agricultural Society Limited, Ramidi. Once the petitioner has an alternative remedy, this Court is not inclined to interfere in its extraordinary jurisdiction.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that he has already submitted a representation to the Registrar in this regard. Be that as it may. Keeping in view the facts of the case, this Court does not find it appropriate to exercise its writ jurisdiction.
