(ORAL) Through this second petition, the petitioner seeks anticipatory bail in case bearing FIR No.130 dated 24.05.2023, registered under Sections 420, 468, 471, 120-B IPC, at Police Station Patran, District Patiala, the first one having been dismissed as withdrawn vide order dated 03.08.2023, with liberty to file a fresh one with better particulars.

Status report by way of an affidavit dated 04.09.2023 of the Deputy Superintendent of Police, Circle Patran, District Patiala, filed on behalf of the respondent-State, in the Court, is taken on record. Copy thereof has been supplied to the learned counsel opposite. Vide order dated 24.08.2023 passed by this Court, the petitioner had been granted ad interim pre-arrest bail and directed to join the investigation.

CRM-M-41548-2023 (O&M) -2Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that pursuant to the aforesaid order, the petitioner has joined the investigation. Learned State counsel, on instructions from ASI Jaswinder Singh, submits that the petitioner has joined the investigation and is now not required for any further investigation.

In view of the above, without commenting on the merits of the case, the present petition is allowed and the order dated 24.08.2023 granting interim bail to the petitioner, is made absolute, subject to the conditions laid down in Section 438 (2) of the Code of Criminal Procedure.
