* * * AWARD OF LOK ADALAT BENCH NO.5 The appeal was filed on behalf of appellants No.1 to 4. During the pendency of the appeal, appellant No.4, the father of the deceased, namely, Nand Lal S/o Sarda Ram has since died. The death certificate issued by the competent authority has also been placed on record. As per the certificate, appellant No.4, namely, Nand Lal, has died on 26.02.2017. The application to this effect was also moved along with the amended memo of parties.
After due deliberations and discussions with the assistance of the learned counsel for the parties, the appeal stands settled at Rs.15,00,000/- over and above the amount already awarded by the learned Tribunal in terms of consent form dated 26.02.2024. Accordingly, an award is made with the direction to the Insurance Company to deposit the enhanced amount of Rs.15,00,000/- (Rupees Fifteen Lac Only) in favour of appellant No.1-Meenu W/o late Sh. Shiv Kumar through NEFT in the account of appellant No.1 within three weeks from today. Failing compliance of the order, interest @ 9% per annum shall follow on this amount till payment from the date of this order. The particulars of the bank account of appellant No.1 have been supplied to the learned counsel for the Insurance Company. Appeal stands disposed of in terms of the settlement. Copy of this order be supplied/sent to the counsel/parties and file be consigned to the record room.
