The petitioner through instant petition under Articles 226/227 of Constitution of India is seeking setting aside of order dated 03.01.2023 whereby his application for renewal of passport has been rejected. 2.

Learned counsel for the petitioner inter alia submits that respondents may be directed to re-issue passport with correct date of birth. Inadvertently, in the passport, date of birth is mentioned as 05.10.1971 whereas correct date of birth is 05.01.1971.

Counsel for the respondents submits that petitioner may be directed to appear before passport authority alongwith requisite documents. The passport authority would look into grievance of the petitioner and PARAMJIT KAUR SAINI 2023.09.25 14:11 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this order/judgment

CWP No.18465 of 2023 -2- 2023:PHHC:125594 redress the same within six weeks from the date of appearance and submission of requisite documents.

Counsel for the petitioner agrees to the aforesaid arrangement. 5.

In the wake of statements of both sides, petition stands disposed of with a direction to petitioner to appear before passport authority on 26.10.2023 at 10.00am alongwith requisite documents. On doing so, the passport authority would pass an appropriate order within six weeks thereafter.
