(Oral) On 10.07.2025, the following order was passed by this Court:- The jurisdiction of this Court has been invoked under Section 528 of BNSS read with Section 483 of BNSS for grant of interim bail for two weeks to the petitioner in case FIR No.314, dated 14.12.2024, under Section 25 of Arms Act, 1959 (Sections 21C, 25, 27A of Arms Act, Section 29/61/85 of NDPS Act and Section 111 of BNS Act added later on), registered at Police Station Gharinda, District Amritsar Rural.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the younger brother of the petitioner has unfortunately expired on 04.07.2025 and the petitioner is the only surviving legal heir as both his father and mother have already passed away, as such, the presence of the petitioner is necessary on Bhog Ceremony of his brother. In compliance thereof, learned State counsel, on instructions from ASI Jasdeep Singh, submits that the verification about the death of the brother of the petitioner was done and it transpires that the brother of the petitioner had died on 04.07.2025 and his bhog ceremony is scheduled for 13.07.2025.

In view of the above, the present petition is allowed and the jurisdictional police authorities are directed to make necessary arrangements for taking the petitioner to his native village on 13.07.2025 at 08:00 AM in order to facilitate the petitioner to attend the bhog ceremony of his deceased brother.

It is made clear that the police personnel shall produce the petitioner before the jail authorities on 13.07.2025 at 05:00 PM, after he attend the bhog ceremony of his deceased brother. (HARPREET SINGH BRAR) JUDGE 11.07.2025 yakub Whether speaking/reasoned:
