(ORAL) By virtue of instant petition preferred under Article 226/227 of the Constitution of India, petitioner has sought issuance of a writ in the nature of mandamus directing the respondents to release GPF for the period commencing from 21.02.1979 to 09.10.1985 along with interest. 2.

At the very outset of the arguments, it has been pointed out by learned counsel for the petitioner that during the pendency of instant petition, amount accrued to the petitioner on account of GPF along with interest thereon has already been granted to the petitioner and as such, instant petition has rendered infructuous and may be disposed of as such. 3.

In view of the statement made by learned counsel for the petitioner, instant petition is dismissed as having been rendered infructuous.
