***** JASPAL SINGH, J Through instant petition preferred under Article 226/227 of the Constitution of India, petitioner has sought issuance of a writ in the nature of mandamus directing the respondent to fix the pay scale of the petitioner @ 10300-34800 grade pay Rs.3800/- as petitioner being Class B employee of the University and other consequential benefits arising out of fixing of the above mentioned pay scale.

At the very outset of the arguments, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that though representation dated 29.04.2016 (Annexure P-2) and representation dated 14.07.2016 (Annexure P-3) were moved to the respondents but till date no action has been taken by the respondent. He further submits that petitioner feels satisfied, in case, direction is issued to respondents to decide latest representation dated 14.07.2016 (Annexure P-3), within some Sonika 2018.03.15 16:19 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this document Chandigarh

Without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, the instant petition is disposed of with the direction to respondents to consider the case of the petitioner as set up by the petitioner in latest representation dated 14.07.2016 (Annexure P-3) and to take a conscious decision in accordance with law, within a period of four months from the date of receipt of certified copy of this order.

However, if the petitioner still feels dissatisfied against the order passed by the concerned authority, he shall be at liberty to have recourse to the other remedies available under law as well as to approach this Court.
