The petitioner through instant petition under Articles 226/227 of Constitution of India is seeking direction to respondent No. 3 to re-issue his passport.

Learned counsel for the petitioner inter alia contends that petitioner was issued passport which expired on 13.05.2023. An FIR No. 94 dated 13.07.2017, under Sections 307, 323, 148, 149 and 427 of IPC, came to be registered against the petitioner at Police Station, Rahon, District SBS Nagar The respondents on account of pending FIR has not re-issued passport of the petitioner. 3.

Mr. Deepanjay Sharma, DAG, Punjab, who on advance notice is present in Court, asserts, on instructions from HC Anish Kumar that till date challan has not been presented in the aforesaid FIR.
