(Oral) The prayer in the present petition filed under Section 482 Cr.P.C. is for the issuance of appropriate directions to respondents No.2 and 4 to put on hold forthwith the parallel inquiries being conducted on the basis of the frivolous and contradictory applications submitted by respondents No. 6 and 7 in FIR No.14 dated 11.02.2023 registered under Sections 419, 420, 456, 467, 468, 471, 120-B IPC registered at Police Station Kathu Nangal, District Amritsar Rural, Amritsar and submit a final report. CRM-M-42125-2023(O&M) - 2 - The counsel for the petitioner contend that multiple enquiries are impermissible under the law and, therefore, the investigation must culminate in a report under Section 173 Cr.P.C. The counsel for the private respondents and the State contend that the dispute is in between family members and they are indulging in litigation in India despite being residents of Canada for the last 35 years. A cancellation report already stands submitted on 03.11.2023. The petitioner is at liberty to challenge the same in accordance with law or to avail any other alternate remedy.

I have heard the learned counsel for the parties. Admittedly, the dispute is between close family members who are residing in Canada. Based on the complaint submitted by the petitioner the FIR came to be registered. A further investigation was conducted by the SIT and on the basis of its report, a cancellation report has been submitted before the Illaqa Magistrate which is pending adjudication for 06.07.2024. In view of the above, the present petition is disposed of with liberty to the petitioner to avail all the alternative remedies available to him under the law.
