The petitioner has filed the present petition seeking directions to the respondent-authorities to extend the parole already granted to the son of the petitioner.

At the very outset, it has been pointed out by learned counsel for the petitioner that the son of the petitioner, has already surrendered before the jail authorities on 16.08.2024, after the parole period was over. It is further pointed out that the husband of the petitioner (i.e. father of the convict), has expired two days back and being the only son, the presence of the convict is required to perform the last rites of his father. 3.
Be that as it may, the fact remains that the convict has already surrendered before the jail authorities after his parole period was over. In view of the said fact, the present petition has become infructuous and the same is disposed of as such. However, the convict is granted Priyanka Thakur 2024.08.23 11:28 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document
liberty to move an appropriate petition for grant of parole if any, to enable him to perform the last rites of his deceased father. 3. .4 3)0.4
