Learned counsel for the petitioners argues that the services of the petitioners were terminated vide order dated 31.01.2022, copy of which has been appended with the petition as Annexures P-6 to P-8, on the ground that there was some misappropriation on the part of the petitioners while working whereas, on the same issue, the inquiry has been conducted by the Additional Deputy Commissioner (Rural Development) SAS Nagar and vide his report dated 14.05.2024, copy of which has been appended with the petition as Annexure P-14, the petitioners have been absolved of any wrong doing hence, the respondents are liable to reconsider the termination of the services of the petitioners in the light of the report of the Additional Deputy Commissioner (Rural Development) SAS Nagar dated 14.05.2024 (Annexure P-14).

Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that on the basis of SATYAWAN 2024.08.22 17:26 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document

CWP-19969-2024 (O&M) the report dated 14.05.2024 (Annexure P-14), the petitioners have already claimed reinstatement vide representation dated 10.06.2024, copy of which has been appended as Annexure P-15, which is still pending consideration with respondents and the petitioners will be satisfied, at this stage, in case direction is issued to the respondents to decide the same by passing an appropriate speaking order in a time bound manner. 2.

Notice of motion.

On the asking of the Court, Mr. T.P.S. Chawla, Sr. DAG, Punjab, who is present in Court, accepts notice on behalf of the respondentState and submits that in case, representation dated 10.06.2024 (Annexure P-15) has been received in the office of respondent No.2 and the same is still pending consideration with the respondent No.2, the same will be decided by respondent No.2 within a period of eight weeks from the date of the receipt of certified copy of this order by passing an appropriate speaking order and in case, it is found feasible to accept the claim of the petitioners, the same will be extended to them, otherwise due reasons for not accepting the claim of the petitioners will be mentioned in the speaking order so passed, which will be conveyed to the petitioners. 4.

Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that keeping in view the statement of the learned State counsel, the present petition may kindly be disposed of having been not pressed any further. 5.

Ordered accordingly.
