**** JAISHREE THAKUR, J. (ORAL) It is contended that the petitioner herein was dismissed from service on account of an FIR that was registered against him under Sections 7, 13(2) of the Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988. The petitioner, though, convicted, filed an appeal against the said conviction and has been acquitted by this Court in Criminal Appeal No. 907-SB-2009. On acquittal, the petitioner has represented to be reinstated in service as far back in 2016 and issued legal notice dated 07.02.2017 (Annexure P-5) by relying upon Government instructions circulated vide letter No. 4819-G-11-57/11919 on 8.7.1957, however, to date the said legal notice of the petitioner has not been decided. At the present moment, learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner limits his prayer to an early consideration and decision in the legal notice dated 07.02.2017 (Annexure P-5) served by the petitioner upon the respondents.
I have heard learned counsel for the petitioner and without going into the merits of the case, this petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondents to decide the legal notice dated 07.02.2017 (Annexure Satyawan 2017.05.02 15:30 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this document High Court Chandigarh
