RAJESH BHARDWAJ, J.(ORAL) Instant writ petition has been filed under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of direction to respondents No.2 to 5 to conduct a fair and impartial inquiry for the funds received and utilized by the Gram Panchayat village Chak Maddi Ke, Tehsil Mamdot, District Ferzepur during the period of 2019 to 2023 and to take appropriate legal action against respondent No.6/Sarpanch for doing embezzlement. It has been contended by counsel for the petitioner that petitioner filed representation, Annexure P-2, on 10.03.2023 before respondent No.3, but no decision has been taken on the same till date. Notice of motion.
On asking of the Court, Ms.Akshita Chauhan, DAG, Punjab, who is present in Court, accepts notice on behalf of the respondents/State. After hearing counsel for the parties and going through the facts and circumstances of the case, the present petition is disposed of with a MEENU 2023.08.25 18:33 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this order/judgment
CWP-18669-2023 -2direction to the petitioner to file a fresh representation within ten days from today before respondent No.3, i.e. Deputy Commissioner, Ferozepur, and if the same is filed within stipulated period, respondent No.3 is directed to decide the same expeditiously in accordance with law preferably within four weeks from the date of its receipt.
