RAKESH KUMAR JAIN, J (ORAL) Reply by way of affidavit dated 06.12.2017 of Manpreet Singh, Additional Chief Electoral Officer, Punjab, filed on behalf of respondent No.2 is taken on record and its copy is furnished to the learned counsel for the petitioner.

Learned counsel for the respondents has submitted that the payment has been sanctioned vide order dated 31.10.2017 which shall be released to the petitioner in due course.

In view thereof, the present petition has become infructuous and is disposed of as such. It is made clear that in case the amount is not released within two months from today, the petitioner may file appropriate application for revival of this petition.
