are praying for issuance of a writ in the nature of certiorari for quashing the order dated 14.10.2016 issued on 18.10.2016 (Annexure P-13), passed by respondent No.2, whereby respondent No.3 has been appointed as Administrator of the Society. A further direction has been sought to the respondents to allow the Managing Committee of the Manimajra Cooperative Marketing-cum-Processing Society Ltd., Chandigarh to continue for a period of five years in terms of the Constitution (97th Amendment) Act, 2011.

There is no representation on behalf of the petitioners. 3.
Learned counsel appearing for respondents No.1 and 2 submits that, in light of the judgment passed by Hon'ble the Supreme Court in Civil Appeal Nos. 9108-9109 of 2014 titled as Union of India vs. Rajendra N. Shah and another, decided on 20.07.2021, the Chandigarh Administration has issued a notification dated 17.03.2022, DIWAKER GULATI 2026.04.29 16:55 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document -1-
whereby the earlier notification dated 31.03.2014 (Annexure P-2) stands repealed and with effect from 21.07.2021, the position will be governed by law prevailing prior to the adoption of Constitution (97th Amendment) Act, 2011.

In light of the aforesaid facts, learned counsel appearing for respondents No.1 and 2 submits that the present writ petition has been rendered infructuous and may be disposed of accordingly. 5.
In view of the aforesaid submission, the present writ petition is disposed of having been rendered infructuous. However, liberty is granted to the petitioners to move an appropriate application for revival of the petition, in case any cause still survives. ' Pending application(s), if any, shall also stand(s) disposed of.
