ALKA SARIN, J. (ORAL) On 24.05.2022 the following order was passed : "The present appeals are of the year 2016 which are still at the stage of preliminary hearing.

On 12.01.2017 none had put in appearance on behalf of the appellants and the case was adjourned. The same was the situation on 10.08.2017 and 09.09.2019. Today also none has put in appearance on behalf of the appellants.

The matter has been taken up for the first time after 09.09.2019 due to the intervening circumstances created because of Covid-19 Pandemic. In the interest of justice, adjourned to 02.09.2022.

It is made clear that in case the matter is not argued on YOGESH SHARMA 2022.09.05 09:36 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this order/judgment Punjab and Haryana High Court, Chandigarh

FAO-5817-2016 (O&M) -2the next date of hearing, the same shall be dismissed for non-prosecution.

Today, again, no one has put in appearance on behalf of the appellants. It appears that the appellants are not interested in pursuing the present appeal. This Court is left with no other option but to dismiss the present appeal for non-prosecution.
